The film, “a modern day retelling of the ancient tale of the ichhadahari nagin (snake woman),” follows a ruthless American who captures nagin’s mate for magical powers and is the recipient of snake woman havoc wreaked when nagin assumes a gorgeous femme fetale form and exacts revenge. More importantly, the feature is labeled as a Bollywood (India) creature film with former KNB maestro now Precinct 13 maestro and boasts the tagline: “She’s sexy… venomous… and she’ll swallow you whole…”
Make-up FX artist Robert Kurtzman created Sherwat’s sleek, disturbing visage. He is known for his makeup special effects work in 13 Ghosts, Army of Darkness, From Dusk ’til Dawn and Evil Dead 2, to name a few..

After months of moving in elite circles and naming milkshakes in the US, Bollywood siren Mallika Sherawat was seen at the Ramachandrapur math in Gokarna, Karnataka.

Calling Mallika Sherawat 'a pure soul,' Shreemad Jagadguru Shankaracharya Shree Shree Raghaveshwara Bharathi Swamiji, the 36th and present pontiff of Shree Ramachandrapura math, made a special invitation to Mallika Sherawat to visit his new ashram in Karnataka and organized a number of special pujas in her honor.

Though, foodies who have greedily gulped it down, say wickedly that the Mallika Milkshake is as sinful as they imagine the real item to be! Not even Victoria Beckham and Paris Hilton, who share the dubious distinction of having milkshakes named after them at this Hollywood hotspot, have got such rave reviews.
But never mind milkshakes in America, tattlers are buzzing about recognition and honour coming Mallika’s way just like that in the US.
On Friday, she was presented a prestigious Arts Awards by the Mayor of Jersey City for her “unparalleled contributions to and influence on the Indian diaspora”. The event was organised to honour the Indian community and its contributions to the United States.
Jersey City has a large population of South Asians. Apparently politicians, business persons, and members of the press attended the event to get a closer glimpse of Mallika. Several hundred Indians, too, who complain that they never get enough of the actress on screen. Maybe it’s high time Bollywood reckonised that as well.

Early lifeSherawat's birth name is Reema Lamba; she says that she adopted the screen name of "Mallika", meaning "empress" to avoid confusion with other actresses named Reema.
